End-to-End International Treatment

Earth Abroad provides structured, end-to-end international treatment facilitation for individuals who are facing extended domestic wait times or prohibitive out-of-pocket costs. For each patient, we coordinate clinical pre-assessment, hospital placement at a JCI or NABH-accredited facility in India or Thailand, in-destination logistics, and post-treatment follow-up — managed by a dedicated patient navigator from first contact to return home.

49 days
National median planned surgery wait — with some procedures exceeding 320 days.
AUD $427
Average gap payment per hospital episode — rising to AUD $713 for orthopaedic procedures — after premiums are already paid.

Employees with private health insurance are paying thousands in annual premiums and still waiting, and still paying. This is a friction point that affects morale, productivity, and your ability to return injured or unwell employees to full capacity.

How it works for an employee

01

Referral

Employer refers or directs the employee to Earth Abroad as an available resource.

02

Consultation

Earth Abroad contacts the employee within 24 hours for a no-obligation listening call.

03

Assessment

A personalised needs assessment is conducted. A procedure-specific cost and logistics proposal is provided.

04

Treatment

Treatment is facilitated at a JCI or NABH-accredited hospital in India or Thailand — typically within 6 to 8 weeks of referral.

05

Return & Follow-up

Employee returns home. Earth Abroad coordinates follow-up care and provides an outcome confirmation to the employer.

Cost to the company

Zero.

Earth Abroad is paid directly by the patient. The employer's role is awareness and facilitation only — informing employees that this pathway exists and directing interested employees to make contact. There is no financial commitment required to establish a partnership.

How the partnership works

Per-procedure arrangement

A referral fee paid to the company or nominated contact upon confirmed patient treatment. Suitable for SMEs and organisations preferring a direct commercial arrangement.

Group Access Agreement

Earth Abroad is listed as a preferred provider in your benefits documentation. A flat annual partnership fee for larger enterprises where per-referral commission conflicts with procurement policy.

All arrangements are documented in a signed MOU or Partnership Agreement before any referral is accepted.

All partner hospitals hold JCI or NABH accreditation. Every patient undergoes mandatory clinical pre-travel vetting before a hospital placement is confirmed.
